Amadeo de Souza Cardoso, born in 1887 in Portugal, was an influential modernist painter who studied in Lisbon and Paris. Known for his innovative style that combined Cubism and Futurism, his work features bold compositions and vibrant colors. His career was cut short by World War I and the Spanish flu, which he succumbed to in 1918 at the age of 31. Despite his brief life, his art continues to be celebrated for its originality and impact on modern art.
