Europe

Europe is a territory generally referred to as a continent but, if we consider the Eurasian plate, it is the western part (a peninsula) of a super-continent. This means that the land limits of Europe have always been imprecise in the east because there is no relief or sea clearly dividing Eurasia. The geographical borders of Europe are therefore more political than physical. In its most common sense, the European continent covers an area of approximately 10,180,000 km2 and has a population of approximately 743 million inhabitants: Europeans. It is the second smallest continent covering just under 4% of the land surface.

With more than 740 million inhabitants and on a small surface area for an average of one language per 4.3 million inhabitants, Europe benefits from great ethnocultural wealth and a plurality of languages.
