The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), established in 1924, is the air branch of the Canadian Armed Forces, responsible for defending Canada’s airspace and supporting national security. With a history marked by a vital role in World War II and the Cold War through the NORAD alliance, the RCAF continues today to conduct defense, search and rescue, and humanitarian missions.
