The front depicts the carp representing strength and perseverance due to its ability to swim against the current in the Yellow River. According to legend, carp that successfully cross a waterfall can transform into dragons, symbolizing the transformation of difficulties into success and accomplishment. This story illustrates the idea that perseverance and determination can lead to remarkable results and spectacular transformations.
The reverse side shows the abacus, is an ancient instrument used for centuries to perform arithmetic calculations. Consisting of a frame with rods and balls representing different position values, it allows addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations to be performed visually and tactically. Although largely replaced by modern calculators, the abacus is still used in some educational contexts to teach fundamental mathematical concepts thanks to its ability to make calculations more concrete and accessible to young learners.
