The front represents the portrait of General Sudirman, born January 24, 1916 in Purbalingga, is an emblematic figure of the struggle for Indonesian independence. After joining the Indonesian People's Defense Forces during the Japanese occupation, he became Commander-in-Chief of the Indonesian Armed Forces at just 29 years old. He led several successful military campaigns against Dutch colonial forces, including the March 1, 1949 offensive in Yogyakarta. Despite his battle with tuberculosis, Sudirman continued to lead his troops with determination. Died on January 29, 1950, shortly after the Dutch recognized Indonesian independence, he remains a national hero whose courage and leadership are commemorated each year.
