Reverse : A dhoni is a traditional Maldivian boat measuring between 6 and 12 metres in length and capable of carrying 4 to 12 people. It is characterised by a pointed bow curved towards the rear and a hull flared in the centre. When used with the wind, it is equipped with a mast carrying a lateen sail. This boat is used for fishing, transport and recreation, and is emblematic of Maldivian maritime culture.
