Obverse : General Aung San, born in 1915, is a pivotal figure in Myanmar's history, known for his leading role in the country's struggle for independence from British colonial rule. He founded the Burma National Army during World War II and was instrumental in the creation of the Union of Burma. Although he was assassinated in 1947, before Burma gained official independence in 1948, his legacy endures as the father of Burmese independence. His daughter, Aung San Suu Kyi, also made a significant impact on the country's political landscape through her advocacy for democracy and human rights.

Reverse : A ornate ceremonial vessel.
