Obverse: Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world with an altitude of 8,848.86 meters. Located in the Himalayas, on the border between Nepal and Tibet, it was first climbed in 1953 by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Its ascent is extremely difficult and dangerous due to the extreme conditions, but attracts many climbers each year. Everest is also a symbol of adventure and a place of environmental concern due to overtourism and waste. Taleju Bhawani Temple, located in Kathmandu, Nepal, is an important religious and historical site. Built in the 16th century by King Mahendra Malla, the temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Taleju, a manifestation of Durga. Located in Durbar Square, this pagoda-shaped temple is a remarkable example of Malla dynasty architecture. It plays a central role in Nepalese culture, especially during the Indra Jatra festival, but its access is generally reserved for Hindus, and limited to special occasions.
