Being a fashion and design pioneer takes a creative, open mind as well as undying determination. Armi ratia is still remembered a charismatic woman whose creative and brilliant instinct led to great success. The Industrial Art coin, named after Ratia, represents the beaty, inspiration and originality of Finnish fashion and design creations. The coin immortalizes the famous Unikko print, the hallmark of the unique textile company Marimerkko, to which Armi Ratia dedicated her life.
The obverse side of the coin depicts a portrait of Armi Ratia. The reverse side depicts poppy flowers, as in the Unikko print designed by Maija Isola.
