Nora tapper the designer of the Jean Sibelius commemorative coins, depicts the starry sky of Ainola and the pine trees that Sibelius has often seen in photographs. On the reverese side of the commemorative coin is the neck of the composer's favorite instrument, the violin. "My idea is that the composer looking at the starry sky at night is surrounded by complete silence. The composition, born in silence, comes to life with the violin on the reverse side”, says artist Nora Tapper.
