Lunéville Castle, located in the town of Lunéville in the Lorraine region, has been the residence of the Dukes of Lorraine since the 13th century. It was initially used on an occasional basis but became their official residence from the 18th century onward. This castle is built in a classical French style and is often compared to the Palace of Versailles for its elegance and symmetry. It was associated with the Polish king Stanislas Leszczyński, who was also the father-in-law of Louis XV and resided there from 1737. The castle is sometimes referred to as "the Lorraine Versailles" due to its splendor. Although it was severely damaged by a fire in 2003, it has since been restored and reopened to the public.
