The Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp was a Nazi camp located in Alsace, France, during World War II. Established in 1941, it operated until its liberation in 1944. Primarily used for political prisoners and resistance fighters, the camp was characterized by brutal living conditions, executions, inhumane medical experiments, and the use of gas chambers. Approximately 22,000 people were deported there, and at least 6,000 died. After the war, the site became a memorial and museum commemorating the victims.
