We find on the obverse the passing of the baton between a Japanese sportsman and a French sportswoman. In the background, the Tokyo Tower seems to respond to its Parisian counterpart, the Eiffel Tower.
On the reverse, the Japanese and French flags rub shoulders and the central circle of the Japanese flag moves to the right to become rings, a reference to the Olympic rings. The PARIS2024 emblem completes this composition.
