Aichi is a prefecture located in the central part of the southern coast of Honshu Island, Japan. It ranks 27th in terms of land area, with Nagoya as its capital. The region features diverse geography, including the Nōbi Plain, the Owari Hills, and the Mikawa Plateaus. Aichi is bordered by the prefectures of Gifu, Nagano, Shizuoka, and Mie, and it is surrounded by the Ise and Mikawa Bays.
