The Douai carillon is a set of 62 bells located in the Belfry of Douai, France, which was installed in 1391. The largest bell weighs 5.5 tons, and the Belfry is adorned with 54 gilded suns and a "grand lion of Flanders." Every Saturday, a carillonneur plays a 20-minute sonata on the carillon, adding a musical dimension to the city's life and preserving this important cultural heritage. The Douai carillon is a historic and musical treasure of the region.
