Charles de Gonzague, also known as Charles I de Gonzague, was a significant figure in European history during the 16th and 17th centuries. He belonged to the House of Gonzaga, an Italian noble family with a strong presence in the politics and culture of Renaissance Europe. Born in 1580, he later became the Duke of Nevers, Rethel, and Mantua.
