The Marseille transporter bridge, inaugurated in 1905 and designed by the architect Ferdinand Arnodin, was a bridge that spanned the Old Port of Marseille. It was a transporter bridge, a type of structure that allowed ships to pass under the bridge by suspending a movable platform. Unfortunately, this historic bridge was destroyed in 1944 during World War II and was never rebuilt. It remains a testament to the engineering of the time and the industrial history of the Marseille region.
