The Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Le Havre, also known as the Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Grace, is the main church of the city and the seat of the diocese of Le Havre. Its history dates back to the 16th century, blending various architectural styles. After suffering significant damage during World War II, architect Auguste Perret undertook its reconstruction, incorporating the church into his plan for the city center, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The cathedral was elevated to the status of a cathedral in 1974 with the creation of the Diocese of Le Havre and has been classified as a historical monument since 1919. It remains a symbol of resilience and the preservation of architectural heritage.
