The Château de Montsoreau is a Renaissance-style castle located in Montsoreau, France, at the confluence of the Loire and Vienne rivers. Built between 1455 and 1460, it served both as a fortress and a noble residence. Over the centuries, it underwent various transformations and changes of ownership, and it gained fame through Alexandre Dumas' novel "La Dame de Montsoreau." Today, it houses the Montsoreau Museum of Contemporary Art, showcasing modern art within a historic setting. The castle is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Loire Valley, and it is open to the public for visitation.
