The Ancient Theatre of Arles is an ancient Roman theater located in Arles, in Provence, France. It was constructed at the end of the 1st century BC and has a seating capacity for approximately 10,000 spectators. It features typical Roman theater architecture with a semi-circular plan and a lavishly decorated stage. Over the centuries, the theater has undergone restoration to preserve it, and it is still used for theatrical performances and concerts during the summer. The site is also accompanied by an archaeological museum, the Arles Antique Museum, which displays discoveries from the region.
