The Veil of the Virgin of Chartres, also known as the "sancta Camisia" or the "Holy Chemise," is a precious relic of Chartres Cathedral in France. According to tradition, it is believed to have been sent by the Eastern Roman Emperor to Charlemagne and to have been worn by the Virgin Mary during the Annunciation. This relic is kept in a precious reliquary and is displayed on special occasions. However, the authenticity of many religious relics, including the Veil of the Virgin of Chartres, is a subject of debate, although they hold significant spiritual importance for many believers.
