The Seaquarium of Grau-du-Roi is a marine aquarium founded in 1989 in the town of Grau-du-Roi, in the Gard department of Occitanie, France. It houses over 200 species of fish from the Mediterranean and tropical regions, as well as 25 species of sharks. The site also features shows starring seals and sea lions. The aquarium was initiated by the mayor of Grau-du-Roi, Étienne Mourrut, and is located within the tourist complex known as "le Palais de la Mer." In 2001, it expanded with the creation of a section dedicated to marine mammals, offering an educational and entertaining experience about marine wildlife. It's an ideal destination for marine enthusiasts and families looking to learn more about marine ecosystems.
