"The Hare" (Feldhase in German) is a watercolor and gouache painting created by the German artist Albrecht Dürer in 1502. This artwork, executed in his studio, is recognized as a masterpiece of nature observation by the painter himself. Similar to his creation of the "Great Piece of Turf" the following year, "The Hare" is celebrated for its remarkable precision and realism in depicting nature. These two works are notable examples of Dürer's artistic talent and his ability to capture the details and texture of natural elements with great finesse.
