The Angora goat, also known as the Tibetan goat, originates from Kashmir and Tibet, later introduced to Turkey and Asia Minor. This small-sized goat (35 to 50 kg) is hardy and well adapted to arid regions. Its entirely white coat consists of long, silky, and lustrous fibers that grow approximately 2.5 cm per month. These fibers are used to produce mohair wool. Globally, major regions for Angora goat farming include Turkey, South Africa, Argentina, and Australia, with Turkey being a significant producer of mohair.
